Denise Santos

Ms. Santos was born in New York, and grew up in South Florida.  She attended Francis Marion University in South Carolina where she received her BS in Sociology.  She has lived in the Atlanta area for over 20 years and loves it!  Ms. Santos received a Master’s Degree in Social Work and an Education Specialist Degree in School Counseling from the University of Georgia.  Go DAWGS!  She has worked with children, adolescents, and families in diverse social service and educational environments throughout the surrounding metro-Atlanta area.  Ms. Santos enjoys playing tennis, exploring new places to capture on camera, listening to a vast selection of music and attending live concerts.  Ms. Santos is very excited to work with all our 6th grade students as they transition and establish themselves in middle school. 


Emily D'Antoni

Mrs. D'Antoni was born in Georgia and grew up in Johns Creek. She went to State Bridge Crossing Elementary, Taylor Rd Middle, and Chattahoochee High School.  She received her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Georgia, a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University, and a school counseling certification from Albany State University. She has worked with adults and adolescents in the clinical setting. Most of her free time is spent with her daughter and husband.  They like to watch movies, play board games, and train together at the gym.

Mrs. Turner grew up in Woodbury, Minnesota where she was a Girl Scout, played basketball, and participated in the Spanish Club and in drama.  She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire and a Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis in School Counseling from the University of Hawaii- Manoa.  Mrs. Turner has worked in California, Hawaii, and Cobb County before landing in Fulton.  She served as an elementary school counselor from 1998-2011, and she was the Fulton County Program Administrator for Elementary Counselors, SST/RTI Coordinators, and Section 504 Chairpersons from 2011-2014.  Mrs. Turner returned to elementary counseling for two years before deciding to transition to middle school.  Mrs. Turner and her husband have a son attending Kennesaw State University, a daughter attending high school, and three dogs.  In her spare time, Mrs. Turner enjoys cycling, concerts, sports (especially Vikings football), and spending time outside.

Dr. Lily Jenkins (jenkinsll1@fultonschools.org​) is AMMS’s Graduation Coach and SST/RTI Chair. She is also the school’s Extended Learning Coordinator. Dr. Jenkins grew up in Kissimmee, Florida and went on to attend college in Tampa, Florida. She possesses a bachelor’s degree in English Education from The University of South Florida, a master’s degree in Reading education and an Education Specialist in Educational Leadership (Tier 2) from Nova Southeastern University, and an Education Specialist and a Doctor of Education degree in Higher Education Leadership from National Louis University. Being an educator, for the past 25 years, has afforded her opportunities to serve in elementary, middle, high school, and collegiate sectors. Dr. Jenkins loves to travel, shop, spend time with family, and read some of her favorite genres. She is married to her wonderful husband Donald, and they share three beautiful children.

Dr. John Burger (burger@fultonschools.org) Dr. Burger started his career as a school social worker in January 1994 with Broward County School System after graduating from Barry University. In this role, Dr. Burger served primarily as a social work case manager for students who were expelled from school. Dr. Burger relocated with his family to Dekalb County in July 2001 under a Federal Grant as a Prevention Intervention Specialist; and then transferred to Fulton County Schools in July 2003 as a School Social Worker.  Dr. Burger completed both an Education Specialist Degree (May 2004) and a Doctor of Education in Executive Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University (May 2011). He has been a LCSW since April 2016. Dr. Burger enjoys listening to jazz and meditation music, cooking, traveling and most of all a spiritual foundation through regular church attendance.  He is the father of two college students, Brianna at Clayton State and John II at Georgia Southern.  He is also the dog parent to a 12lb dachshund names Foxy-Brown. He is the 10th born child of his parents, and has a large family connection

Amy Pate (patea@fultonschools.org) is AMMS’ 504 Coordinator.  She graduated from Kennesaw State University with a BS in Middle Grades Math and Science.  In 2005, she received her Masters degree from Mercer University.  Mrs. Pate came to AMMS in 2005 after teaching 8th grade math for six years at Taylor Road Middle School.   In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her two children. Mrs. Pate loves working with middle school students.
